Tsutsukawa Matsuri

10:00 - 12:00

This event featuring “Maiko no Mai” has been carried on for at least 350 years. It is held every year on a morning in late April. One notable attraction is the “Tengu Dance”, where men dressed as Tengu (long-nosed goblins) perform dances and interact with children, often scaring them. Also impressive is the dramatic lion dance.
